REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building Resilience Connect While Social DistancingHow does connecting with others help your own mental and emotional health? How can it help support others?
Emma Dufresne 4/06/2020 7:27 AMIt has been so beneficial for me to connect with others through video calls. It's something that I hadn't done nearly enough with friends and family that live near and far from me before this physical distancing started. It is inspiring me to make connecting like this a part of my life from now on. -

Emma Dufresne 4/02/2020 6:54 AMHello and welcome to the Agnes Scott Sustainability Ecochallenge team!
We want to seriously acknowledge the COVID-19 situation at hand, just as the Ecochallenge organization has. They have added an action track called "Building Resilience" that includes a variety of actions that are more accessible during this time of uncertainty. In it include actions like researching local climate issues, safely volunteering in the community if possible, advocating for more food options, spending time outside, etc.
Building resilience is something that people on the frontlines of climate change have been doing for years. It is also something that we consider here at Agnes Scott through out partnership with the City of Decatur as we work on a Climate Resilience Plan. There are important connections to make between this time of social isolation and the Earth's climate. So this month, we challenge you to consider those connections and remember the actions that you can carry with you when you no longer have to physically distance yourselves.
We are excited that you all have decided to be a part of this with us. We are looking forward to using the Dashboard to have conversations, potentially having a Zoom call to chat, and checking in on the impact we are making as a group.
Please feel free to share resources in the Dashboard as you do research!
