Last Friday (4/24), I had the pleasure of watching Microplastic Madness with a number of MS students and faculty. It was a very informational and interactive event. We learned about how microplastics are in practically everything and how to lessen our plastic footprint by buying less and washing clothes on cold water setting and less frequently; only wash something if it's truly dirty. I hope you all will watch it at some point, and I look forward to hearing from those who did.

I'm grateful for all of Earth's beauty, both seen in nature and in people, particularly now in these difficult and new times. Even though I'm in quarantine, I still feel connected to others.

It definitely helps speaking and engaging with people in these difficult times. While I've FaceTimed and texted family and friends, some of which I haven't spoken with in quite some time, the best feeling I've had was when my 6-year daughter and I went around and wrote short messages at the end of our neighbors' driveways with sidewalk chalk. In the middle of doing this, my daughter told me how much fun she was having, which was evident with how energetic she was. I hope we brightened people's days with well wishes and rainbows.
