Hello all, my name is Billie Galbraith Haynes. Normally I am the cooking teacher at Children's World Montessori Preschool.  Right now I am a stay at home mom to a 15 year old daughter Lola, 11 year old doxie and a 5 month old foster puppy.
We have not been as active in our eco practices since the quarantine.  We barely use our car now and I can appreciate how wonderful that is for the environment.
I was born on the Illinois River and it is my hearts home.  The diverse and unique plant life and the beautiful terrain and water never cease to amaze me.
The quarantine has many benefits for the environment.  One concern I have is recycling.  I know the bottle recycling is closed and I’m curious as to how cans and bottles will be handled?

Welcome Billie! So wonderful to have you join the team! I think that all bottles are still being picked up by Ashland Recology and are accepted at the Ashland Recycling Center. Does anyone else on the Team know of different information?

I’m just getting started and I’m a little nervous given the state of the world.  I look forward to getting myself and my family back to eco efforts.

WELCOME! I'm so glad you're here! I agree, it's an odd time to be doing this - or anything! But I'm finding it a welcome and even hopeful break from the news. Thank you for joining again!

Also, we have been introducing ourselves - here are the questions. And if you scroll down in the feed, you'll see other people's introductions and so you can say hi! : )

When you introduce yourself, check the box to Post Only to My Team's Feed - that will keep the messages contained within our group.

Please share answers to these 4 questions:

      1.            Name / what you do
      2.            List one habit you have changed since the quarantine and how it betters the earth.
      3.            What is your favorite place in nature and why does it inspire you?
      4.            How have you noticed mass quarantine impacting the environment?
