Watch a Documentary about Food Sovereignty
I will watch 1 documentary(ies) about food sovereignty: the right of local peoples to control their own food systems including markets, ecological resources, food cultures and production methods.
Oceans
Learn about Our Oceans
I will spend at least 30 minutes learning about how our oceans support life on Earth by producing oxygen, regulating climate, and providing habitat, food, and jobs.
Oceans
Smart Seafood Choices
I will visit seafoodwatch.org or download the app and commit to making better seafood choices for a healthier ocean.
Food
Reduce Animal Products
I will enjoy 1 meatless meal(s) and/or 1 vegan meal(s) each day of the challenge.
Wildlife
Research a Wild Animal
I will spend at least 15 minutes learning about a wild animal I find interesting, including their life cycle, habitat, ecosystem functions, and interactions with humans (if any!).
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Kimberly Jackson 4/30/2020 9:33 AMThis was harder to be consistent than I thought it would be. I found some of the documentaries really interested and I'm going to continue to find new ones to watch. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONOceans Learn about Our OceansWhat is one way in which oceans support your life on Earth? What is one way you can help take care of ocean health with your actions?
Kimberly Jackson 4/09/2020 4:31 PMI watched the documentary Mission Blue. One Sylvia Earle is an amazing human! Really enjoyed learning about her life journey. Also, it is amazing how the ocean creates the oxygen that we breathe and scary that there are now so many dead zones. I am going to work really hard to stop using as much plastics as possible. -
Kimberly Jackson 4/03/2020 11:02 AMThere was really great information including a video to watch. In addition, there are some great recipes to try! This one sounds amazing and I'm going to cook it tonight. https://www.seafoodwatch.org/consumers/sustainable-recipes/baked-salmon-patties-with-lemon-caper-sauce-
