  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

People in richer countries eat more meat probably because meat can be expensive and hard to get, depending on what is being hunted.
If we continue to eat more meat, then the food chain will start to be thrown off. Animals that provide meat will be kept in farms and kept out of their natural environment. I think that the world should cut down on more meat products

    People Connect While Social Distancing
How does connecting with others help your own mental and emotional health? How can it help support others?

It helps to connect with people who might have a hard time being with their families and not seeing their friends. You can call them to support them during these times and make sure you are there for them
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

It surprises me a lot. $1,500 is a lot of money and could be used to chip in to save our environments. I would rather save the money, or donate it to charity rather than buy food you won't eat.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Wildlife Research a Wild Animal
What interesting facts did you learn about the animal you researched? What are some of your favorite things about this animal?

I learned that gray wolves are the largest members in the dog family, some look similar to German shepherd. Gray wolves "territory" can be up to 13,000 km.
My favorite fact is probably that wolves and dogs DNA only differ from 2/10 of one percent (0.2), making their DNA so similar it is surprising to me because of how different dogs and wolves can look.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Oceans Learn about Our Oceans
What is one way in which oceans support your life on Earth? What is one way you can help take care of ocean health with your actions?

    Adrian Jensen 4/02/2020 12:32 PM
Well, oceans provide a lot of things for us. They provide fish, natural barriers and transportation. You could stop polluting oceans, as they help us so much. Use less plastic!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Wildlife Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

I would probably take a stores cart, and bring it to the car, then return it.
