I took this time during quarantine to really start composting. Of course I'm noticing a huge difference and looking at every piece of food that would have been tossed out. When I'm cooking I'm used to just going and going and not thinking about what I'm doing, but now I'm stopping and realizing every little thing that I would have thrown away, tops of carrots I chop off, garlic skin, lemon rinds, pepper cores, eggshells etc. It makes me feel really good to not have that all being wasted and putting it back where it can be useful. The soil in my backyard is disgusting, whoever built the building next to mine jus threw all their trash and bricks into our backyard, and if you dig just a little you can easily find trash. I was planting a new plant and dug up a full metal spoon. I hope that by putting compost back in the soil I can try and make the soil in my backyard less like a landfill and restore some good soil.

    Hey everyone!

Welcome to the BC eco-challenge team. The challenges are pretty simple, but it's a fun way to try and stay involved for Earth Day Month and something to do during quarantine! Have fun!!!
