Great!  Doing this as part of a larger organization amidst the social distancing of COVID made it even more special.

Action Track: Building Resilience Watch a Documentary about Food Sovereignty
How does food sovereignty address the complex agrarian transition to modern food systems?

Food sovereignty is the right of peoples to healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods, and their right to define their own food and agriculture systems. Through food sovereignty, people will have rights vs. today's system of Big Ag owning the food that is produced, what pesticides and chemicals it is treated with and what we as the consumers eventually consume.

I joined the challenge as I wanted to make a difference in our actions, on a daily basis, and see how the little efforts of a small group/ our family and team add up to the big efforts of the masses and the difference that can make in the world.

    Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

Wow. That is staggering. Yes, I'd rather use the money for buying some new trees or spending a vacation with the family at the beach.
