Once you've create a habit, it is super hard to break! Our habit of using single use coffee cup developed when our home was being remodeled over 5 years, so it became a lifestyle and ingrained in our daily life! When I signed up to this challenge, I hadn't realized that we use approx 5-8 cups a day, over 5 years that was almost 10+K cups to the landfill! Now that we have a kitchen, there is no excuse to use a reusable mug. It's hard to break but knowing how much we waste and impact our landfills unnecessarily helps us be more aware of what we do each morning and change our habit.
