  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Building Resilience Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

It does ring true. Spending time outdoors has a comparable impact to travelling abroad. Getting to experience other cultures allows you to better understand people and values across the globe. Similarly, getting outdoors allows you to understand the primitive and beautiful world we have the privilage to live on. It can ground your actions in a fundamental understanding of the environmental impact your actions can have.
