Hannah's actions
Oceans
Smart Seafood Choices
I will visit seafoodwatch.org or download the app and commit to making better seafood choices for a healthier ocean.
Oceans
Learn about Our Oceans
I will spend at least 60 minutes learning about how our oceans support life on Earth by producing oxygen, regulating climate, and providing habitat, food, and jobs.
Wildlife
Use Reusable Bags
Plastic bags can be mistaken for food by many wild animals. If at all possible, I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases, including produce bags.
Food
Compost Food Waste
I will avoid sending up to .69 lbs (.31 kg) of food waste to the landfill each day by composting my food or learning how to.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Hannah Dyerly 4/22/2020 2:40 PMHappy Earth Day everyone! I'm happy to say that for the entire month of April I have not used a single disposable bag! I can be so bad at remembering to bring my reusable bags to the store, but I've been working hard to remember them every time! -
Hannah Dyerly 4/07/2020 1:41 PMOver the weekend my roommates and I started a compost bin in our house. We are using this compost to help with our new vegetable garden, so we are working on producing less waste that goes to landfill, and growing our own produce.-
Rowen Stadelhofer 4/07/2020 5:09 PMI think that is awesome! Gardens are such a great way to experience the effort that goes into growing food! I am currently working on planning my vegetable garden for this year and cannot wait for the satisfaction of having fresh vegetables ready for the picking.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlife Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Hannah Dyerly 4/01/2020 7:05 PMIf I am ever in a situation where I need a bag but did not bring a reusable bag, I either carry out the items in my hands or opt for a paper bag, which I then recycle.
