REFLECTION QUESTIONPeopleRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Eden Golomb 4/29/2020 12:37 PMGoing outside is good for our mental and physical health. We can meet new people, exercise, and learn new things. Without it, we miss out on a great opportunity. -
Eden Golomb 4/29/2020 11:57 AMI researched about three topics to learn about our oceans, sell-by, use-by, and best-by dates, and biodiversity. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlifeHow can you encourage biodiversity by your own actions?
Eden Golomb 4/19/2020 11:09 AMWe can encourage biodiversity by teaching others about it and why it is important. If more people know what biodiversity is, more people will want to restore it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONOceansWhat is one way in which oceans support your life on Earth? What is one way you can help take care of ocean health with your actions?
Eden Golomb 4/19/2020 11:07 AMOceans make sure that temperatures on land aren't too extreme. They do this by absorbing lots of heat and distributing it. If there is too much heat it can destroy underwater life. We can help by limiting the heat that we give into the atmosphere by riding our bikes more and turning off the lights when we leave a room. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Eden Golomb 4/19/2020 11:00 AMBy knowing what used by, sell by, and best by means we can waste less food.
