I will spend at least 10 minutes learning how to differentiate between sell by, use by, and best by dates.
Wildlife

To reduce my consumption and waste and support my community, I will create or support a sharing economy with family, friends, and neighbors.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlife Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Dacia Harris 4/30/2020 5:43 PMI keep bags in my classroom, my car, my kitchen, and my backpack. If I do not have a bag I will often choose to forgo the trip or only buy what I need for that day so I don't need a bag. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONFresh Water Use a Reusable Water BottleUsing the links provided, investigate the bottling practices of water corporations. There have been many cases where the water rights of the local people have been violated or even completely disregarded when a corporation decides to bottle water from a particular water source. How can you advocate for those who have been harmed - both humans and wildlife - by this bottling process?
Dacia Harris 3/25/2020 9:17 AMI can help advocate for humans and wildlife by using reusable bottles to reduce the number of one-time-use bottles which can help decrease the plastics that photodegrade versus biodegrade.
