Knowing the difference between the different ways companies date food is going to make me more aware of what food I should and shouldn't get rid of. I used to think if it was past the date on a package, whether it is sell, use, or best by, it was no good. I am now more aware of how to know if food is good to keep or not which will minimize my food waste.

Action Track: Building Resilience Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

I agree that spending time outside and in nature are needed for emotional wellness, and for some people, spiritual wellness. I think in today's society, a lot of time is spent indoors and on screens. Spending time indoors has become such a norm, and can lead to laziness, limit our potential to better ourselves, and decrease our happiness. However, I think that going out and being outside benefits our health, mood, and overall keep us stimulated.
