Even though everyone is physically isolated, connecting via social media, video calls, etc. help me feel less isolated. I feel like I'm dealing with physical distancing pretty well. I know some of my friends are having a more difficult time with social distancing but chatting with them more often helps them feel connected and give them a listening ear which they might not have at home.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Compost Food Waste
New to composting? Be sure to check out the action resource links to learn tips and more about it. As you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? How will you use your compost once it is ready?

The challenge is in some ways easier but in others more difficult during this time of self-isolation. I think in general we are all living a bit more frugally and working from home for the most part so that goes hand in hand with using less fuel to get to work, better meal planning, eating out of the pantry and home made meals, etc. In other ways, there are less options to use reusables at stores do to hygiene concerns and more heating of our houses for our cold climate. How is everyone else doing through this?

I'm expecting electrical bills to be a lot more because we're using computers at home for work, but appreciate being able to eat at home and not having to reheat anything. Saving on laundry too!
