I am grateful about the fact that everyday we learn something new about our planet from the news or something we saw online and we use that information to make a change in our own lives. For example when I learned about people cutting down forests because the trees have palm oil and its sad to read about it but, when you decide to do something about it and you change your diet then that small impact builds up day by day, week by week, month by month, and so on. You actually feel better about it.

How difficult or easy was it to change your diet?

This challenge was easy because I don't drink a lot of coffee and I was willing to give it up even if it means I won't be able to drink it anymore. Also I gave up peanut butter and crackers because they have palm oil.

My household can prepare for changing water situations to be more resilient by not drinking water from plastic water bottles, and only drinking water from reusable cups and reusable water bottles.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Fresh Water Use a Reusable Water Bottle
Using the links provided, investigate the bottling practices of water corporations. There have been many cases where the water rights of the local people have been violated or even completely disregarded when a corporation decides to bottle water from a particular water source. How can you advocate for those who have been harmed - both humans and wildlife - by this bottling process?

m family has already been doing this for a long time we never ever get bottled water unless it is a dire situation. we always bring meta water bottles out because we know how much cheaper it is and that it's a lot better for the environment.

    Fresh Water Conserve Toilet Water
What would a sustainable water future in your region look like? What needs to change?

I saved my water by trying to limit my toilet and shower uses because these are the two things that take up the most time. for example, the shower uses a lot of water depending on how long you spend in it I saved water by just having shower time around five minutes compared to 20. I also know that a toilet uses around two gallons per flush so I also limited the times I flush per day

Well, connecting with others helps me with my own mental and emotional health because usually my friends and I would all see each other at school and talk but now we have to do it over facetime, this has impacted my mental state because it's not like oh I'm not at school so I don't talk to any of my friends because I still do but over the phone.
