Talking with my mom is uplifting.  Talking with my sister can be draining, but I know it helps her, so that is good.  :)  I've enjoyed talking with the neighbors across the road and over the fence.  It brightens the day.

I explored a lot of trails, but most of them I already go on.  Getting out to new locations was not really an option for me this year.

This doesn't surprise me at all.  I'm guilty of doing this.  I wish I had chickens I could give some of it to or at least compost it.  Doesn't make it better, but it would at least help.  I've tried to decrease my waste, but sometimes that spinach just gets stuck in the back of the drawer and goes bad.  I am getting better though.  I've noticed...

taking a bike ride with my daughter today to meet my mother for a socially distanced walk; will bring a bag to collect plastic garbage while we walk and chat.

The impacts of supply chains for products we buy are depend on raw materials and factories far from our homes. That these impacts are so distant from us makes it easier to discount them and harder to identify them. Example: Without reliable eco-labels like FSC-certification, it's very difficult to know if paper packaging we buy contributes to...
