    Wildlife Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?

I like to bring reusable bags with me to the store. This enables me to transport tons of items without having to get a plastic bag. I have recently been buying less items when I go to the store, so I have not needed a bag.

If I don’t have reusable bags with me I typically carry things with my hands or find a way to make something work. I always keep extras in my car though so it doesn’t normally happen!

How does the act of picking up litter connect you more to your community?

It can connect me in the way that others might see myself picking up litter which since we all have so much free time right now, then they might go pick up litter as well.

I used to use plastic coffee cups with plastic straws on a basis from a place such as Starbucks. Now I have purchased metal straws to fill any plastic straws I use as well as I purchased a reusable Starbucks cup to use when I go there.

    Food Weekly Meal Planning
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

The amount suprises me, but I was aware that people do waste a lot of food either because they aren't meal planning and don't use certain items before they go bad. This money could be going towards their other bills they have to pay.
