Very fun challenge through the month!  Made me more aware of some habits I am already following, and tried new ones!

Trying to keep a daily check-in on this challenge.  Helps me to be more mindful each day for the environment!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Seems like a change from the Green Revolution that brought us more food yield and productivity. With trade impacts with COVID-19, perhaps we revisit the trade system. But the ability to have fruit and vegetables year-round is a great benefit to health.

    Forests Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

Once I start the practice, I realize how easy it is to bring and use my own mug vs disposable and plastic cups.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

This is fun!  Especially as it hits Earth Day week!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Oceans Learn about Our Oceans
What is one way in which oceans support your life on Earth? What is one way you can help take care of ocean health with your actions?

Oceans support a food protein source for me, and weather patterns.  Reduce my use of plastic bags and packaging, and picking up litter so it doesn't get into our waterways (and eventually into the oceans).
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Oceans Smart Seafood Choices
Many states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?

Had no idea how risky Eel was across the country!  I'll monitor the site, especially before grabbing sushi next time.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Oceans Say No to Plastic Straws
What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

Don't use straws a lot, and have checked my use for iced coffees.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Building Resilience Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

We need to spark our imagination and "look up" from the phones and get outside.  My best experiences in nature have nothing to do with a phone or a TV.  Even reading a book outside is way better!
