    Oceans Learn about Our Oceans
What is one way in which oceans support your life on Earth? What is one way you can help take care of ocean health with your actions?

Phytoplankton, plants that live in the ocean, produce about 70% of our oxygen. Disposing of trash and chemicals properly and picking up litter outside will help our oceans stay clean and free of pollution.

It has been beautiful in the early afternoon today and yesterday! My mom and I have taken my dog for walks in the neighborhood  both days. Good exercise and fresh air for us and for him. Hopefully, this nice weather will continue!

I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in my backyard today, just soaking up the sun and watching the birds. I also encountered some adorable bumble bees, curiously checking me out when I walked to my mailbox to get the mail from yesterday.

I have seen so many critters in my backyard! Bees, butterflies, birds, moths, and a centipede yesterday too.

I did not complete any of my challenges today. I only went outside for like one minute earlier today when my dog was out there to pee! I was extremely lazy. I will do better tomorrow!

Action Track: Building Resilience Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

It was chilly and pretty yucky outside today, so I only spent about 5 minutes outside today. Hopefully, tomorrow will be nicer.
