we need to make sure our water systems can manage the increase in rainfall and flooding. We also need to clean up our river and test our brooks and springs.

I am starting to notice a rim around the toilet bowl because of not flushing as much....so...what is better, using toilet bowl cleaner or flushing more often....oh, I think white vinegar can be a simple cleaner that does no harm...

We are having someone come over today who will help us think about how to plant more native food plants in our yard - food for us, and for insects, birds and other wildlife..

Ok, so today we planted: chokeberry, dogwood (a shrub version), and crab apple. TWo elderberry bushes are still to come, the holes are dug and we are just waiting for it to be a bit warmer. They overwintered in the basement and in spite of having hardly any light, they started to green and even start having flower buds. So they are acclimatizing on the porch for
    now...

I am already doing a lot of things on these challenge cards and am missing some that could really make a big difference. For instance, buying an electric car. And our homes and those we rent are tightly insulated, like this one from at the Expo last May!
