You get 5 points for each 'post' you make if you're looking for a simple way to rack 'em up!

I made a stew last night with homemade veggie broth - SO much better than store-bought!

I love the Lorax; he speaks for the trees!
If I could, I would, speak also for trees!

One of my fav swaps has been wool dryer balls. They're an amazing alternative to dryer sheets and you can still make them smell lovely with (pet safe) essential oils! I initially stopped using dryer sheets just because of the waste they create - I wasn't even aware of how harmful they can be. Traditional dryer sheets have harsh chemicals in them that vent into the air we breathe and rub off from our clothes and into our skin - eeeeeek!

Has anyone had struggles with the eco-challenge or sustainable practices in general since we've been quarantined that they'd like to share?

Hey everyone - I hope you all had great weekends! Did anyone get their hands in the soil or repurpose anything? I continued working on the garden and have been repurposing recyclables into seed starters!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

Foods I prefer preparing tend to be vegetarian or vegan. I do eat meat but it is not part of my common cooking routine. (aside from eggs which I use in everything almost)

I love trees! We planted a Southern Red Oak and 3 Tulip Poplars. They're both good trees to support wildlife because they're large and long living. We took into account their lifespan when deciding where to plant them so they can grow to full potential.
