    It was very eye opening to see how much food goes in the trash. By the end of week two or maybe three (whos counting anymore) of composting we had filled a large composting bin, probably the size of several garbage bags. As we have begun a vegetable garden, we hope this compost will be ready by the end of the summer for our autumn crops....

    Entering week seven of this lock-down, home time. It has been a good time to look inwards!

    We aslos watched Dream Big and it was quite inspiring for our kids! It made them think of what they want to do "later" and opened so many great discussions! We also wanted to watch the pollinators movie but missed the date!

    Today we wrote a letter to Mother Earth, watched a few talks about the history of Earth Day and had so many lively discussions! We walked to the post office to get our mail, meaning we did not use our car at all today... like most of the days now... And we watch our garden slowly grow under the green houses despite the cold weather!

    We've been busy creating new garden beds, tending our seedlings, composting, and reusing as much as possible. We've had lots of meatless meals this week, and we're so excited that spring is here!
