    It's been good to reflect on the ways we can make a difference. In some ways working virtually has been eye opening...how we can simplify in difficult times and what is really needed.

    I always feel better about giving scraps to our chickens and cows - less food waste is the right thing!

    Spending so much time indoors deprives us of the beauty of the natural world.  But also, we need fresh air, sunlight and to get in touch with our senses through sight, sound and touch for our mental state and creativity to thrive.

    My daughter and I went over material, as she is a food date sheriff! I want her to understand what dates mean to reduce food waste

    I make a list of what I need to get at the grocery store to avoid compulsive buying and having to throw away food.  Any vegetable trimmings, old bread, etc. is saved and given to a lady who rescues pot belly pigs as feed.

    I've made a point to take my dog outside twice a day, it has helped me concentrate more at work because I'm energized and my dog sleeps all day!

    Because we're all social distancing, it has been crucial to finding new ways to stay in touch with family and friends. We've made some chat groups that have helped us keep in touch more often and to check-in on each other

    I work from home now and instead of going out for a drive and then walk my dog, I just walk there
